Golden Circle
A global drug empire with a deadly secret.
The Golden Circle is a massive global drug cartel that serves as the primary antagonist in the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service. Led by Poppy Adams, played by Julianne Moore, this organization operates out of a hidden hideout known as "Poppy Land" located in Cambodia. Unlike the previous villain Richmond Valentine, who sought population reduction through a virus, Poppy's empire is built on selling drugs that contain a secret toxin. When Kingsman headquarters is destroyed by missiles sent by this cartel, agents Eggsy and Merlin are forced to seek help from Statesman, the American counterpart agency based in Kentucky.

Lore & Background
The Golden Circle functions as the world's largest drug cartel, led by Poppy Adams. The organization's most dangerous feature is a toxin secretly added to all their drugs. This chemical causes users to develop a blue rash and exhibit signs of mania before succumbing to paralysis and death. When Kingsman headquarters is wiped out in Britain, Poppy broadcasts a message to the world revealing this toxin. She offers an antidote only if the United States President ends his country's war on drugs and grants her cartel legal immunity. The organization operates from "Poppy Land," a location in Cambodia that includes an antidote factory and serves as their primary base of operations.
In Their Own Story
After Charlie Hesketh hacks into the Kingsman database, he passes information to Poppy Adams, who launches missiles to destroy Kingsman headquarters. Eggsy and Merlin survive the attack and travel to Kentucky to meet Statesman, posing as a Bourbon whiskey distillery. There they learn that Harry Hart survived thanks to Statesman's nanotechnology but suffers from amnesia. The agencies discover the Golden Circle's toxin threat when Poppy broadcasts her ultimatum to the world. Agents track Charlie's ex-girlfriend Clara to an antidote factory in northern Italy, where it is destroyed by Charlie. With Tilde infected and the President planning to let all victims die, Eggsy, Harry, and Whiskey fly to "Poppy Land" in Cambodia. After Merlin sacrifices himself on a land mine and Elton John helps defeat robotic attack dogs, they secure the laptop needed to deploy drones carrying the antidote.
Reader's Guide
The Golden Circle's strategy relies on controlling the global drug supply while secretly killing its users with a toxin that causes paralysis after inducing mania. Their plan involves holding humanity hostage; they demand the US President end the war on drugs and grant them immunity in exchange for the antidote. The cartel's leadership is centered around Poppy Adams, who maintains strict control over her henchmen. When Clara unintentionally betrays them by helping Kingsman, Charlie kills her. Inside their Cambodian hideout, they utilize robotic attack dogs and industrial meat grinders to defend against intruders. Ultimately, the organization collapses when Whiskey is killed for wanting all drug users to die, and Poppy overdoses on her own toxin-infused heroin after being injected by Harry.
